Erin + Eric | A 2-day Grand Canyon Elopement

Grand Canyon adventure elopement

A Grand Canyon Elopement + Picnic on the Edge

A Grand Canyon National Park adventure with vows, heart-shape sunglasses, champagne, and a sunset picnic at Moran Point.

Erin + Eric’s elopement was truly one of those two day adventures filled with exploring, laughter, and taking their time to soak in the Grand Canyon. When we started planning their day, they wanted it to feel less like a traditional wedding and more like one of their favorite adventures together. So we had them kick things off with an adventure session the day before, exploring the park with a map in hand. They even made a wish, shared a kiss, and threw a rock off the edge of the canyon, which was so deep you couldn’t even hear it land. We spent the rest of the day chasing epic views, wandering into remote spots around the canyon, and enjoying every minute of exploring with them.

The following day, they exchanged vows overlooking the canyon before celebrating with champagne and a beautiful cake covered in stunning giant flowers. Then came one of my favorite parts, the most incredible cliff-side picnic I could ever imagine. They cozied up at the edge of the canyon, surrounded by the most UNREAL views, and surprised their family by FaceTiming them to share the news. Who knew the Grand Canyon had service?! We wrapped up the evening watching the sunset together from the edge of the canyon. It was the kind of elopement that reminds you why we love adventuring with our couples so much.

Bringing an Fujifilm Instax is a must for adventures who want instant memories.

There’s something pretty incredible about sitting down for a picnic on the edge of the Grand Canyon. No fancy venue, no packed schedule, just jaw-dropping views, your favorite person, and one of the most unreal ceremony backdrops on earth. It’s simple, unexpected, and the kind of wedding-day moment you’ll remember forever.
